IEA is pleased to announce a new competitive grant for artists who are early in their careers and would benefit from guidance in their career direction. This grant program will award two artists $500 each for working with a mentor or for other educational opportunities.

When we reviewed the recent emerging artist grant applications, some of the applicants expressed a need for guidance at this point in their careers, and, in response, we created this grant.

We are relaxing our requirements for things like a website and/or social media presence, and while it is not essential to have those things in place, we encourage applicants to try and address these things as part of their career growth.  The Grants Committee would like this application to be a growth experience for all applicants, the more of these things you can put in place, the stronger your application will be.

We are working on criteria guidelines, as well as a list of FAQs to help you complete the grant application.

NOTE:  These are competitive grants and you must be a current member of IEA (with up-to-date dues) and must maintain your membership for one full year following the grant year.
