2020 International Encaustic Conference Scholarship

The IEA Board of Directors will offer up to two scholarships for the 14th International Encaustic Conference in Provincetown, MA, May 29-31, 2020.

The International Encaustic Conference Scholarship covers up to $1000 to be used for the registration fee to the International Encaustic Conference.  Remaining funds may be applied to accommodations at Edgewood Farms or workshops offered by Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill.  Scholarship monies will be paid directly to Castle Hill, not to the winning artist.  Additional expenses for workshops, travel and accommodations are the responsibility of the participating artist.  If a winner cancels, the entry fee will be awarded by IEA to another artist, and no money will be refunded to the original winner.

Application guidelines:

  • Applicants must be IEA members in good standing. 
  • In 400 words or less, indicate your reason for requesting the scholarship and the professional development you hope to achieve.
  • Include a resume or CV, artist's statement, and link to your website
  • Recipients must maintain their IEA membership for one year following the scholarship
  • A written report with seven to ten images is due within two weeks after the end of the conference and may be used by IEA or Castle Hill for any media publications.

Please note that there is a limit of one IEA scholarship or grant per person in a 24-month period.
