2019 International Encaustic Conference Scholarship

The IEA Board of Directors is very pleased to announce IEA is offering up to two scholarships for an amazing professional development opportunity, the 13th International Encaustic Conference in Provincetown, May 31-June 2, 2019.

What the scholarship covers:

Up to $1000 to cover entry fee to the International Encaustic Conference , further expenses for workshops or accommodations at Edgewood Farms to be provided by Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill.  Any additional expense for travel and accommodations are the responsibility of the participating artist. If a winner registers and then cancels their registration, the entry fee will be awarded at IEA's discretion to another winner, and no money will be refunded to the original winner. Scholarship monies will be paid to Castle Hill, and not to the winning artist. 

Application guidelines:

    • In no more than 400 words, indicate your reason for requesting the scholarship and the professional development you hope to achieve as a result.
    • Include a resume or CV, artist's statement, and link to your website
    • Recipients must maintain their IEA membership for one year following their scholarship
    • Recipients must submit a one-page report about their experience at the conference, along with 7-10 supporting images submitted with their report.
    • The written report is due within two weeks after the end of the conference and may be used by IEA or Castle Hill at their discretion for media and/or encaustiZINE purposes. 

Please note that there is a limit of one IEA scholarship or grant per person in a 24-month period.
