ARTIST STATEMENT

Recently I have been experimenting with a series of abstract encaustic paintings, using beeswax medium and pigment. These images were inspired by close-up photographs of problem areas in canvases found in a text on art restoration. The titles reflect my linking of restoration issues with human issues.
