Robert Dodge
Robert Dodge is an encaustic artist from Los Osos, CA. Bob has been painting full time since 1990, working in oils, acrylics,
and encaustics, often incorporating collage. Bob’s work has been shown in venues up and down the west coast, in Texas, and in
Illinois, and is held in private collections from Maine to Atlanta to Tokyo.
ARTIST STATEMENT
My works are expeditions undertaken without a known destination, let alone a road map. Sometimes the journey flows rapidly, and
sometimes it takes a while to take the next step. Eventually, I do reach a resolution, which may come as a surprise; only then
do I decide what to call the work.
