ARTIST STATEMENT
Some artists paint for a large audience, planning a strong message to reach as many as possible,
but that is not my calling. I choose to paint for a smaller crowd. My work is meant to be viewed
by the individual and to inspire on a personal level. The subjects of my paintings are taken from
the city around. I try to dissolve their individual identity in the paint, and bring to the surface
something human/basic that anyone can relate to.
