ARTIST STATEMENT

It is a great pleasure for me to work intensely in the studio to develop my artistic skills, technical proficiency, while examining new ideas, and experimenting with various media. I believe that one must experiment with a variety of media to find the best fit for the individual artist. This also allows one to discover possibilities that might surprisingly open doorways into art that could have been passed-by at the expense of creativity. I am a researcher by nature. While experimenting with mixed media and encaustic painting I truly enjoy employing new methods and materials that allow bringing this type of art to a new stage of contemporary vision.
