June 2008

Montserrat College of Art Second Annual Encaustic Conference
Event Dates: June 6-8, 2008
Cost: For returning participants: $250 if you register by November 31. First-time attenders who register by November 31: $275.
Location: Montserrat College of Art, Beverly, MA
Contact: More information at www.montserratencausticconference.blogspot.com

Description: Joanne Mattera will be acting as conference director this year. The conference will start earlier on Friday (with afternoon events for early arrivers) and run later on Sunday. There will also be evening activities planned, as that was a big request from attendees last year. There will be more choices of events--and many events will be duplicated both days in the same time slot so that you can take in more than one event taking place at a conflicting time. As last year, there will be a juried show; any artist registered for the conference by April 15 will be eligible to submit--and there is no entry fee. There will be three days of post-conference workshops, too. Registration will be capped at 300 participants to keep the conference a manageable size.
