He is a Canadian painter who has exhibited to great acclaim over the past twenty years in the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe. He has received extensive critical attention with the production of over a dozen catalogues of his work and reviews in over one hundred publications. A master of painting with encaustic on paper and canvas, Scherman has developed a signature style. His heavily built up wax surfaces give the work a viseral edge. His work often depicts historical figures and is held in public collections world-wide. He is particularly known for a monumental cycle of Napoleon portraits and French Revolution paintings collected in the 2002 art book, "Chasing Napoleon: Forensic Portraits". His portraiture and still lifes are carefully imbued with a dream-like intensity and embellished with modern themes- evoking deeper meaning and reflecting intense emotion. www.tonyscherman.com ANDREA SCHWARTZ owns the Andrea Schwartz Gallery in San Francisco. Yes, she is brilliant. Yes, she knows the market! And yes, she has earned her strong reputation as an expert on contemporary art. The gallery is a beautiful 3400 square foot space in the SOMA area. Exhibitions have been reviewed in ArtNews, Artweek, Art Ltd., Fine Art Connoisser and many more. Gallery artists are included in museum collections throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. www.asgallery.com RICHARD FRUMESS is the founder of R&F Handmade Paint. He is an artist, teacher, author and inveterate promoter of all things encaustic. Seduced by the medium, he started making paint in his Brooklyn apartment in 1988 and hasn't stopped innovating since. His care and love for his work is clearly evident in his engaging and often hilarious presentations. You are going to fall in love with the man who brings us great products! www.rfpaint.com PAMELA BLUM is an encaustic painter from Massachusetts with a diverse background in many visual disciplines including drawing, painting, sculptural installation, performance art, architecture, physical planning and graphic design.
